Ten Good Reasons is the debut album by Australian pop star and actor Jason Donovan. Released in 1989, it became one of the biggest selling albums in the UK that year, and yielded two solo #1 singles ("Too Many Broken Hearts" and "Sealed with a Kiss") and also featured a duet with Kylie Minogue, "Especially for You", which had reached #1 in January 1989.
The album entered the charts at number two, and then reached number one, staying there for three weeks. When his cover of Brian Hyland's "Sealed With a Kiss" entered the UK charts at number one, Donovan became the first Australian male to ever hold both UK single and UK album chart number one positions simultaneously.
The title of the album is taken from a line in its first track: "You give me one good reason to leave me, I'll give you ten good reasons to stay."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack album to the film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. It is the fourth soundtrack in the saga's chronology, and was released on November 8, 2011. The soundtrack is once again produced by Alexandra Patsavas, the music director for the previous three films. The track list for the album was revealed on September 26, 2011, followed by the album's lead single the following day.
Background and development:- In July 2011, Bill Condon, the director of the film, said that they were still under negotiations for the soundtrack and had 15 songs to choose from, but no deals had been signed with any artists. He also hinted that there was a good chance that the cast's musically-inclined members would feature on the soundtrack, which left chance for Robert Pattinson, Jackson Rathbone, Booboo Stewart and Jamie Campbell Bower to appear.
American rock band Evanescence expressed interest in landing a song on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack. Will Hunt, the drummer of the band, said, "I've been screaming for [new song] 'My Heart Is Broken' to land in that, because I think it would fit the story so well." Lead singer Amy Lee agreed, adding, "I think that would be awesome, actually." It is notable that the band had attempted to land songs on the soundtrack of Twilight, but Summit did not approve of the songs they presented.Evanescence were unsuccessful in lodging for a song to appear on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack.
On September 22, it was confirmed that the lead single of the soundtrack would be a song called "It Will Rain" by American pop singer Bruno Mars, released exclusively on iTunes on September 27. The track listing of the soundtrack was revealed on September 26, and is the first to not feature a contribution by British rock band Muse, who contributed songs to the past three soundtracks of the saga.Notably, the original version of the song, "Flightless Bird, American Mouth", was included on the soundtrack of Twilight. The only cast member to appear on the soundtrack after the announcement of the possibility for musical cast members to be included is Mia Maestro, who plays Carmen.
Breaking Dawn – Part 1: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack sold 105,000 copies in its first week in the United States, enough to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. This is the first time that a soundtrack in the saga's chronology failed to debut in the top two positions, but it is the fourth in a row to debut in the top five.

A Very Gaga Holiday is a four-track Christmas special-related EP from American recording artist and songwriter Lady Gaga. It was streamed and then unlocked on iTunes after Gaga's Thanksgiving 90-minute special on ABC, called A Very Gaga Thanksgivings, show that was conceived and directed by herself. The extended play consists of four tracks. Lady Gaga covered "Orange Coloured Sky" during a surprise appearance at The Oak Room in New York City on September 29, 2010 (wearing a dress made of hair) and again on January 5, 2011.Brian Newman served as a guest performer on trumpet for performances at the Robin Hood Gala on May 9, 2011 to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation and at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Carlisle, England on May 15, 2011. She then performed it as several other dates, including the ABC special A Very Gaga Thanksgiving. Also during her pre-recorded A Very Gaga Thanksgiving ABC Thanksgiving Day Special, aired November 24, 2011 she performed her variation to the original "White Christmas". Gaga put emphasis on the jazz side of the song. She added a second verse to the song, after claiming "This song it's too short and it's a beautiful Christmas song, so I added a new extra [verse]". She describes a white snowman, to whom she is telling Santa Claus is on his way to him. In the end she finished by saying "Okay, so I suppose it's not very white outside yet." Both song has been added to the track listing, alongside two other tracks: the stripped-down live versions of her 2011 hits "The Edge of Glory" and "Yo? and I", both singles off Gaga's second full-length studio album Born This Way. On August 25, 2011, Bieber announced that he would be releasing his first Christmas album and second studio album later in 2011. Manager Scooter Braun and vocal producer Kuk Harrell confirmed a week later that Bieber had collaborated with Sean Kingston and Taylor Swift and had also worked with producers Jonathan Rotem, and The Messengers. Christmas is the upcoming, fifth studio album released by Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. The album is scheduled for release on October 24, 2011 in the United Kingdom, and October 25, 2011 in the United States.
The album is Bublé's second christmas-themed release, after he released a five-track EP in 2003 entitled Let It Snow. Some of the songs from Let It Snow have been re-recorded for inclusion on Christmas, making Christmas his first full-length holiday release. For the album, Bublé teamed up with several well-known artists to record duets. He recorded a version of "White Christmas" with country music singer Shania Twain, and teamed up with latin singer Thalía for a recording of "Feliz Navidad". Buble has also recorded covers of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You", traditional songs "Jingle Bells" and "Blue Christmas", and a brand new track, "Cold December Night", written with his longtime co-writer Alan Chang.
Buble will promote the album in the United States with an NBC TV special entitled A Michael Buble Christmas, a show is being produced by Ben Silverman and being televised in December, and will also appear on The X Factor in the United Kingdom for a special performance in the final.The album's tracklisting was unveiled by Buble on September 27, 2011.

15 Minutes is the latest album by Barry Manilow which was released on June 14, 2011.
After having recorded six critically acclaimed albums of songs written by the greatest songwriters of all time – from Gershwin to Bacharach, Manilow returns at last to his true passion – songwriting. Manilow teams up once again with lyricist Enoch Anderson for this astounding new work.
The album debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart at #7. It also debuted on the English top 40 at #20. In Canada, the album charted at #36 on the Canadian Albums Chart.
The album tells the story of a fictional singer/musician who dreams of fame (15 Minutes), works to achieve fame (Work the Room), and realizes his dream and shares the news of his success with his partner (Bring on Tomorrow). The main character then experiences the euphoria of realized dreams (Now it's For Real), and begins to enjoy a more indulgent lifestyle (Wine Song). The album goes on to explore fame from the outsider's viewpoint (He's a Star).
In the middle section of the album, the main character begins to experience the downside of fame. He first deals with his partner's withdrawal from his parties and celebrations (Written in Stone). He becomes demanding and delusional, while remembering a letter received from a young lady who is equally delusional (Letter from a Fan/So Heavy, So High). Strained emotionally to the breaking point, he laments his solitude (Everybody's Leaving), then lashes out at his aides (Who Needs You).
The point of view changes from internal to external, once again, as Manilow comments on the price of fame and the ferocity with which the press seems to latch on to a story of a star gone bad (Winner Go Down).
Toward the end of the album, the main character has been abandoned, and realizes that his career is ruined (Slept Through the End of the World). After some time to think (Reflection), he gives himself a pep talk (Trainwreck), and begins to put the pieces back together. He realizes he can continue to perform (15 Minutes -- Reprise). The album's final track is an anthem to optimism (Everything's Gonna Be Alright).

Sting (born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner on 2 October 1951), CBE, is an English musician, singer-songwriter, activist, actor and philanthropist. Prior to starting his solo career, he was the principal songwriter, lead singer and bassist of the rock band The Police.
Sting has varied his musical style throughout his career, incorporating distinct elements of jazz, reggae, classical, new age, and worldbeat into his music. As a solo musician and member of The Police, Sting has received sixteen Grammy Awards for his work, receiving his first Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental Performance in 1981, and several Oscar nominations for Best Original Song. He is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

A milkman's son from Newcastle, England, Sting was a teacher, soccer coach and ditchdigger before turning to music. Inspired equally by jazz and the Beatles (eclectic tastes that would prove prophetic), he met Stewart Copeland and they, along with guitarist Andy Summers, formed the Police in 1977. The band quickly became a success both in the UK and U.S. scoring several No. 1 hits including "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take," "King of Pain," and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic." They earned five Grammy Awards and two Brits, and in 2003 the band was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The trio's live work forecast the astonishing inventiveness and range of influences that Sting would realize fully in his solo career.

Greg Laswell is a musician, recording engineer, and producer from San Diego, California. He has released four studio albums: Good Movie in 2003, Through Toledo in 2006, and Three Flights from Alto Nido in 2008, and Take a Bow in 2010, as well as several EPs and special singles. Many of his songs have been featured in films and television shows.
Laswell released a new full album, "Take a Bow " on May 4, 2010. All 12 new tracks were recorded in a studio in a cabin outside Flagstaff, AZ. "Perhaps the biggest difference with this album", observes Greg Laswell of his new Take A Bow, "is that I'm not miserable." Laswell also chimes in on the album stating, "I could not be more excited about how it turned out. Greg Laswell also says that after his Solo Residency Tour wraps up, a full-band tour will commence in May, in support of this new release.
He has toured with several artists over the years, including Matt Costa, Sia, Tim O'Reagan of The Jayhawks and Amy Millan of Stars. Laswell has also scored several short films, including Longbranch: A Suburban Parable in 2001; Deacon's Mondays in 2006; and Interlock in 2009, created by Ben Kelly & Dean Higgins for Hugh Baird College, featuring the song 'Off I Go' during the final scenes where Rachel Kelly (Emily) dies a tragic death from AIDS. George Benson (born March 22, 1943) is a ten Grammy Award winning American musician, whose production career began at the age of twenty-one as a jazz guitarist.
Benson first came to prominence in the 1960s playing soul jazz with the likes of Jack McDuff. Benson then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, R&B singing, and scat singing. This one-time child prodigy topped the Billboard 200 in 1976 with the triple-platinum album, Breezin', He was also a major live attraction in the UK during the 1980s and continues to attract a large following today. Max Alfred "Maxi" Priest (born 10 June 1961) is a British reggae vocalist of Jamaican descent. Songs in A Minor is the debut studio album by American recording artist Alicia Keys. It was released in the United States on June 5, 2001 by J Records. After graduating from high school, Keys signed with Columbia Records to begin her music career. She recorded an album in 1998 under the label, which they rejected. Her contract subsequently ended with Columbia after a dispute with the label, and Keys later signed with Clive Davis. Vanessa Lynn Williams (born March 18, 1963) is an American pop-R&B recording artist, producer, dancer, model, actress and showgirl. In 1983, she became the first woman of African-American descent to be crowned Miss America, but a scandal generated by her having posed for nude photographs published in Penthouse magazine caused her to relinquish her title early and she was succeeded by the first runner-up, Suzette Charles of New Jersey -- who was also African-American. Williams rebounded by launching a career as an entertainer, earning multiple Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominations.
Williams released her debut album The Right Stuff in 1988, which spawned the hits "The Right Stuff" , a #1 on Hot Dance Songs, and "Dreamin'" a #1 on R&B and #8 on Billboard Hot 100. Her second studio album The Comfort Zone in 1991 topped the Billboard R&B Album Chart, which spawned the Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit "Save the Best for Last".
In 1994 she debuted on Broadway in the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman. In 1995 she recorded "Colors of the Wind", the Oscar-winner for Best Original Song from the Disney animated feature film Pocahontas , which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Williams's first film acting role was as the star of the feature film Eraser in 1996. She also starred in the movies Soul Food, Dance with Me, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, Shaft and Johnson Family Vacation.
From 2006 to 2010 she played the role of self-absorbed diva and former supermodel Wilhelmina Slater in the ABC comedy series Ugly Betty, for which she received three Emmy Awards nominations. In 2009, Williams released her eighth studio album, The Real Thing. In 2010 she joined the ensemble cast of the series Desperate Housewives as spoiled rich woman Renee Perry.
Along with Mario Frangoulis, she was the main host of the opening ceremony of the 2011 Special Olympics, held in Athens.

"Haven’t Met You Yet" is the first single from Canadian singer Michael Bublé's fourth album Crazy Love, released on August 31, 2009. According to Bublé, the single and its official music video are "about everyone's dream of finding a relationship and love." Bublé co-wrote "Haven’t Met You Yet" with Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gilles, and dedicated it to his then fiancée and now wife, Luisana Lopilato (who appears as his love interest in the music video). Like Bublé’s song "Everything", this song carries an adult contemporary sound. The song has proven successful on the adult contemporary charts, reaching #1 in the U.S. on the chart week of January 30, 2010 and becoming the first song in history to debut at #1 on Billboard Canada's AC chart. It is Bublé's third #1 single on the adult contemporary charts after "Home" and "Everything". It was also a big success on the Billboard Hot 100, where the song reached #24, so far, being his highest single on the Billboard charts. The song entered the United Kingdom Singles Chart on the October 18, 2009 at number 9, making it his first top 10 hit in the UK, eventually climbing up to number 5 in its third week. A promotional video was released a few days after the release of the song in digital format at his official site on September 5, 2009. It showed Bublé in a photo shoot set wearing a dark brown jacket against a white background. The video solely revolves around him in the photo shoot session. The official music video was directed by Rich Lee and was released on October 1, 2009. The video is about Bublé in a supermarket (Killarney Market located in Vancouver, BC, Canada) and after meeting a blonde woman (Luisana Lopilato) at a fridge, all the customers, staff, and a cameo appearance of the West Vancouver Youth Band, started dancing around the store and eventually moved outside to the parking lot covered in confetti. The video then cuts to Bublé at the till with the cashier handing him his receipt while he is still seemingly daydreaming before awaking. An embarrassed Bublé then takes the receipt and walks out with everyone staring at him. As he is about to exit the supermarket, he sees the blonde woman from his daydream walking into the supermarket. He takes a glance at her and walks out of the supermarket perplexed. The music video is a tribute to a scene in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off when Ferris Bueller leads a parade through the Chicago streets lip-syncing to The Beatles' version of "Twist and Shout".

Crazy Love is the fourth studio album released by Canadian vocalist Michael Bublé. After only three days of sales, the album opened atop the Billboard 200 chart with 132,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, making the album Bublé's second number #1 album. Spending the first full week at the top, the album increased in sales to 203,000 copies, staying again at the number one spot on its second week. The album has sold nearly seven million copies since its release. In Australia, the album debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and spent six non-consecutive weeks number one. It has been certified 5× platinum. In the United Kingdom, Crazy Love topped the album charts, and has currently sold over 2.4 million copies, with a 8× Platinum certification from BPI. The album was released on October 19, 2009. At the 53rd Grammy Awards (2010), the album won the award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
The album was recorded over a period of six months in Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver (his hometown). Produced by David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica, Michael Bublé describes Crazy Love as the "ultimate record about the inevitable roller coaster ride of relationships." The album was named for Northern Irish musician Van Morrison's 1970 song, "Crazy Love", with a cover version included.[2] Bublé commented on the recording process for the album: "I started this record knowing I was going to record it differently than my previous ones. I dug way deeper and was more introspective on this one. Basically, I sang the truth - made each song autobiographical - and you can definitely hear the difference. I went back to the way my idols made their records. I wanted an organic feel - so people could feel like they were in the studio with me. The musicians and I all sat in the room, recorded it right from the floor and we let the sounds all come together and bleed into one another. It's not contrived. Not too perfect. It just feels really good." Bublé co-wrote the album's two singles, "Haven't Met You Yet" and "Hold On" with former collaborators Alan Chang and Amy Foster. The first single, "Haven't Met You Yet," was released on August 31, 2009. Weeks prior to this single, Bublé offered his audience an early glimpse at Crazy Love with a "playful" remix of "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)". The opening part for the single "Cry Me a River" was written by Bublé in Bond-like theme because he wanted the song to sound "really cinematic, really over the top and bombastic". "Cry Me a River" was used in the BBC's advertising for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The track "Stardust" was recorded in one take. On 18 April 2010, Bublé took home four Juno Awards for Juno Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year – "Haven't Met You Yet", Album of the Year – Crazy Love, and Pop Album of the Year – Crazy Love, and two Juno nominations for Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Crazy Love producers David Foster and Bob Rock both received two separate nominations of their own for the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Award, with Bob Rock winning the award.
The album was initially planned for release on October 13, 2009, however, it was released four days early, in order to coincide with Bublé's appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where Bublé performed the album's first single "Haven't Met You Yet". On August 23, 2010, it was confirmed that a special edition of Crazy Love would be released in the fall. On October 10, 2010, the re-release was confirmed to become available on October 18, 2010 in Europe, and on October 25, 2010 in the U.S. The re-release contains three new tracks, including a further single, "Hollywood", which was co-written by Bublé and Canadian songwriter Robert G. Scott. The album also includes live versions of songs from the album's previous release. In Europe, the re-release comes in the form of a bonus disc included with the original version of the album, whereas in America, the special edition was released in the form of an EP, entitled Hollywood: The Deluxe EP. A special edition of the album, including a bonus remix CD, making-of DVD and 32 page photo album, was made available only through Bublé's official online store.

The album's first single, "Everything", peaked at #46 on the U.S. Hot 100, Bublé's highest peaking song so far. It's Time is an album by the Canadian singer Michael Bublé. It's Time was released on February 15, 2005, but had been available to legitimately download since the previous week on iTunes. In Australia, the album was extremely successful and was certified 5 x platinum by ARIA for sales of 350,000 copies sold, and was also hugely successful in Canada where it was certified 6x platinum by CRIA for sales of 600,000 copies. To date the album has sold 6 million units worldwide.

"Spider-Man" is the theme song of the 1967 cartoon show Spider-Man, composed by Academy Award winner Paul Francis Webster and Robert "Bob" Harris. The song's opening lines, "Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can," have become as synonymous with the Marvel Comics character as his costume.
The 2002 Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 film adaptations have featured characters as buskers performing the song; Jayce Bartok and Elyse Dinh respectively. Both films also feature the song at the very end of the credits: the 2002 film featured the 1967 version, while the 2004 film featured a re-recording by Michael Bublé (see below). 2007's Spider-Man 3 also featured the song's melody during the scene where Spider-Man arrives at a big celebration.
The song was included, as "Spiderman Theme," on Michael Bublé's album, BaBalu, from 2001. It features an introduction taken from the popular jazz tune "Sing, Sing, Sing" originally made famous by Benny Goodman. In this version, Bublé sings the original lyrics to the 1967 cartoon show Spider-Man.
Bublé performed the song live for Ronald McDonald House Charities' The Concert for World Children's Day in Chicago on September 14, 2002. The concert was broadcast on ABC on November 14, 2002 and released on DVD in 2003.
Bublé later re-recorded the song and released it as a single (respelled as "Spider-Man Theme") remixed by Junkie XL on July 6, 2004. The introduction plays a police siren sound effect in the background. In this updated version, Bublé excludes the last lines of the cartoon's lyrics: "To him life is a great big hang up / Wherever there's a bang up / You'll find the Spider-Man".
The official remix was included in the film, Spider-Man 2, and though it was not a part of the soundtrack, it was played during the credits. It was also reissued as part of his 2009 Crazy Love - Fan Edition package.
A video was made for the remix single and released on June 25, 2004.
"Spider-Man Theme" reached the #6 position in Canada, becoming his first entrance on the chart. It also reached the Australian and Italian charts.

Michael Bublé is the major label debut album released by Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. The album was released in February 2003 and Special Deluxe Edition was released in 2004.
Michael Bublé's career breakthrough came when he sang Kurt Weill's "Mack the Knife" at the wedding of Brian Mulroney's daughter Caroline in 2000. Mulroney introduced Bublé to David Foster, a multi-Grammy awarding producer and a Warner Bros. Records executive who had worked with Josh Groban previously. Foster signed Bublé to his 143 record label and he started recording a self-titled album 2001 with Foster as producer. The album features a range of standards from various eras including "Fever", "The Way You Look Tonight", "For Once in My Life", Van Morrison's "Moondance" and Lou Rawls' "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine". Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees sang back up vocals on Bublé's version of the group's "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart".
The album was released in early 2003 and soon entered the Canadian album charts. Chart success in the UK, US, Australia and elsewhere soon followed with the album going platinum and reaching the top ten of the album charts in the UK, Canada and going all the way to #1 in Australia where it reached 7x Platinum for sales of 490,000 copies. The album also reached the top 50 of the Billboard 200 album charts. His version of "Kissing a Fool" by George Michael was released as a single from the album and reached the top 30 of the Billboard adult contemporary chart. "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?" reached the top 30 of the Billboard adult contemporary chart as well. His third single "Sway", originally performed by Dean Martin also reached the top 30 of the adult contemporary chart while a Junkie XL remix of the song has reached the top 20 in Australia in May 2004. The album was eventually certified 4x platinum in Canada (400,000 units) on March 14, 2006. In Italy the album was certified 7x platinum. The album has sold at least 7 million copies worldwide. Bublé won the "Best New Talent" award at the Juno Awards of 2004 and his self-titled album was nominated for "Album of the Year" losing out to Sam Roberts.

BaBalu: is the second non-label album released by Jazz crooner Michael Bublé, before his debut label album, Michael Bublé was recorded. It was released in 2001, but was not widely commercial.
Michael Bublé has stated that his interest in singing jazz and swing standards stems from his listening to old Mills Brothers recordings, as is evident on albums such as BaBalu, where he actually re-records several Mills Brothers hits, such as "Lazy River." Bublé says, "Although I like rock 'n' roll and modern music, the first time my granddad played me the Mills Brothers, something magical happened. The lyrics were so romantic, so real, the way a song should be for me. It was like seeing my future flash before me. I wanted to be a singer and I knew that this was the music that I wanted to sing."
The title, BaBalu, refers to the Vancouver night club where Bublé regularly performed in the late 1990s before gaining broad recognition outside of his home town. The club has since become Doolin's Irish Pub, located on Granville Street at Nelson. The word Babalu is a reference to Margarita Lecuona's song "Babalu" popularized by famous Cuban big band singers Miguelito Valdés and Desi Arnaz. Also seen, as such, with the character of Ricky Ricardo (played by Desi Arnaz) on the classic TV comedy series I Love Lucy. The word originally refers to "Babalú-ayé", an orisha or deity in the Santería religion.
The album title informally written as Babalu is often seen written as BaBalu because on the album art, the second B is also capitalized. The Vancouver night club and lounge, BaBalu, after which the album is named, was also written with the second B capitalized.
The track "Spiderman Theme" was remixed by Junkie XL, released as a single (respelled as "'Spider-Man' Theme") and also used in the movie Spider-Man 2.

Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011) was an English singer-songwriter known for her powerful deep contralto vocals[1] and her eclectic mix of musical genres including R&B, soul and jazz. Winehouse's 2003 debut album, Frank, was critically successful in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 follow-up album, Back to Black, led to six Grammy Award nominations and five wins, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night, and made Winehouse the first British female to win five Grammys,including three of the "Big Four": Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. She won the Ivor Novello Award three times, one in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song (musically and lyrically) for "Stronger Than Me", one in 2007 for Best Contemporary Song for "Rehab", and one in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for "Love Is a Losing Game", among other distinctions. The album was the third biggest seller of the 2000s in the United Kingdom.
Winehouse is credited as an influence in the rise in popularity of female musicians and soul music, and also for revitalising British music. Winehouse's distinctive style made her a muse for fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld.
Winehouse's problems with drug and alcohol abuse, violence, and her self-destructive behaviours were regular tabloid news from 2007 until her death. She and her former husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were plagued by legal troubles that left him serving prison time. In 2008, Winehouse faced a series of health complications that threatened both her career and her life.
Winehouse was found dead on 23 July 2011, at her home in London; police have said that the cause of her death is "as yet unexplained".However, an inquest regarding Winehouse's death has been opened and delayed (adjourned) until October 26, 2011, per a London coroner.Coroner Sharon Duff from North London's St. Pancras Coroner's Court stated that a "Section 20" postmortem had been done on Winehouse.Section 20 postmortems imply that the coroner believes "there is reasonable cause to suspect that a person has died a violent or unnatural death or in any other way which would require an inquest," according to regulations. The coroner's office also stated that police had determined the death to be "non-suspicious". Winehouse's family and friends attended her funeral on 26 July 2011. She was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium.
Winehouse's debut album, Frank, was released on 20 October 2003. Produced mainly by Salaam Remi, many songs were influenced by jazz and, apart from two covers, every song was co-written by Winehouse. The album received positive reviews with compliments over the "cool, critical gaze" in its lyrics and brought comparisons of her voice to Sarah Vaughan, Macy Gray and others.
The album entered the upper levels of the UK album chart in 2004 when it was nominated for BRIT Awards in the categories of "British Female Solo Artist" and "British Urban Act". Winehouse and Mark Ronson contributed a cover of Lesley Gore's "It's My Party" to the Quincy Jones tribute album Q Soul Bossa Nostra released 9 November 2010.Winehouse and drummer ?uestlove of the Roots had agreed to form a group. Winehouse's problems obtaining a visa delayed the still unnamed group from working together. Producer Salaam Remi had already created some material with Winehouse as part of the project. According to a newspaper report, Universal Music pressed her regarding new material in 2008. According to that same report Winehouse as of 2 September had not been near a recording studio. It was noted that she had touring obligations during the summer and also that if an album was quickly recorded, it would be at least a year before an album could be released.[70] In late October, Winehouse's spokesman was quoted as saying that Winehouse had not been given a deadline to complete her third album, for which she was learning to play drums.
During her 2009 stay in Saint Lucia, Winehouse worked on new music with producer Salaam Remi. Island claimed that a new album would be due in 2010; Island co-president Darcus Beese said, "I've heard a couple of song demos that have absolutely floored me". In July 2010 Winehouse was quoted as saying her next album would be released no later than January 2011, saying "It’s going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are... just jukebox, really." Mark Ronson said in July 2010 that he had not started to record the album.
American singer Tony Bennett recorded a song with Winehouse for his forthcoming album, Duets II, which is scheduled for release on 20 September 2011. Following her death Winehouse's spokesperson said the singer left behind “plenty” of material but no discussions had taken place in regards to releasing it. It is uncertain how far along she had gotten in the recording process.The proceeds from the single will go to a charity set up in Winehouse's name.

Back to Black is the second studio album by English recording artist Amy Winehouse, released 4 October 2006 on Island Records. It is the last album released in her lifetime. The album incorporates 1960s soul music styles and modern R&B production, with subjective lyrics that concern relationships and reflect on Winehouse's experiences with drinking, sex, and drugs. The album produced several singles, including "Rehab", "You Know I'm No Good", "Back to Black", "Tears Dry on Their Own", and "Love Is a Losing Game". Back to Black received generally positive reviews from music critics, earning praise for its classicist soul influences, Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson's production, and Winehouse's songwriting and emotive singing style.
At the 50th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, Back to Black won five awards, tying the record (with Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé Knowles, Norah Jones, and Alison Krauss) for the second-most awards won by a female artist in a single ceremony. The album won Best Pop Vocal Album, while "Rehab" won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year and Record of the Year with Amy Winehouse winning Best New Artist. The track "Tears Dry on Their Own" samples the backing music from Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 1967 song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough".
On Winehouse's song, "Rehab", she mentions "Ray" and "Mr. Hathaway", in reference to Ray Charles and Donny Hathaway. However, for some time during live performances, she replaced "Ray" with "Blake", referring to her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who served time in prison for charges relating to grievous bodily harm.
Back to Black received general acclaim from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 81, based on 26 reviews, which indicates "universal acclaim". It received comparisons from critics to Motown-era R&B and soul music. Allmusic writer John Bush gave the album 5 out of 5 stars and lauded Winehouse's musical transition from her debut album, stating "Although Back to Black does see her deserting jazz and wholly embracing contemporary R&B, all the best parts of her musical character emerge intact, and actually, are all the better for the transformation from jazz vocalist to soul siren". Jake Henneman of Crawdaddy! called its music "sensuous neo-soul and R&B". New Statesman writer Jude Rogers called it "an astonishing soul record, soaking up the sounds of Motown and 1960s girl groups and spitting them back with panache, glamour and a contemporary twist." The Washington Post's J. Freedom du Lac wrote that its music "recalls two cultural factories from the past, Motown and Brill Building", but acknowledged its "modernity" and called it a "classic-contemporary mix". Helen Brown of The Daily Telegraph called its music "wall-of-sound bombast with brazenly catchy hooks and smart, modern, soul-scouring lyrics". BBC Online's Matt Harvey cited it as "one of the best UK albums of the year". Dorian Lynskey of The Guardian found it an improvement over her previous album and wrote "this time the music, too, packs a similar punch, and the upshot is a 21st-century soul classic".
Back to Black was named one of the ten-best albums of 2006 by several publications on their year-end albums lists, including The Austin Chronicle (number four), Billboard Magazine (number three), Blender Magazine (number eight), Slant Magazine (number four), Entertainment Weekly (number two), The New York Times (number three) and Time Magazine (number one). The album won numerous awards at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her hit single "Rehab"; while the album received nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, winning the latter. Winehouse herself, for the album, was presented the Grammy for Best New Artist; Ronson himself earned the 2008 Grammy Award for "Producer of the Year, Non-Classical".In July 2007, the album made the shortlist for the 2007 Mercury Music Prize. The song "Rehab" won the Ivor Novello Award for "Best Contemporary Song" on 24 May 2007. TIME magazine named "Rehab" one of The 10 Best Songs of 2007, ranking it at #1. Writer Josh Tyrangiel praised Winehouse for her confidence, opining, “What she is is mouthy, funny, sultry, and quite possibly crazy” and, "It's impossible not to be seduced by her originality. Combine it with production by Mark Ronson that references four decades worth of soul music without once ripping it off, and you've got the best song of 2007."

Frank is the debut studio album by English recording artist Amy Winehouse, released 20 October 2003 on Island Records. Production for the album took place during 2002 to 2003 and was handled by Winehouse, Salaam Remi, Commissioner Gordon, Jimmy Hogarth and Matt Rowe. Its title alludes to the nature and tone of Winehouse's lyrics on the album.
Upon its release, Frank received generally positive reviews from most music critics and earned Winehouse several accolades, including an Ivor Novello Award. Since its original release in the United Kingdom, the album has been reissued in Canada, the United States and Australia. On 18 December 2008, it was certified triple platinum by the British Phonographic Industry, denoting shipments in excess of 900,000 copies in the UK.
The album was released by Island Records in October 2003 in the United Kingdom, and in the United States on 20 November 2007. The album spawned the singles "Stronger Than Me", "Take the Box", "In My Bed"/"You Sent Me Flying" and "Fuck Me Pumps"/"Help Yourself". The album was reissued in a deluxe edition in the UK on 12 May 2008. This edition includes an eighteen-track bonus disc including rare tracks, remixes, B-sides and live performances. In New Zealand, with the album re-released as a deluxe edition, it debuted at number twenty-six on the week starting 19 May 2008, nearly five years after it was originally released.
Frank received generally positive reviews from most music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 78, based on 11 reviews, which indicates generally favourable reviews. Billboard called the album "stellar" and Winehouse's vocals "wobblier than now, yet still astounding." Allmusic writer John Bush gave it 4 out of 5 stars and called Winehouse "an excellent vocalist possessing both power and subtlety". Nate Chinen of The New York Times lauded her original lyrics and described the album's musical style as "glossy admixture of breezy funk, dub and jazz-inflected soul". The A.V. Club's Nathan Rabin commended its loose, organic songcraft and wrote that it "features languid, wide-open neo-soul grooves and jazzy vamping". BBC Collective writer Matt Walton called it "an honest, refreshingly personal record" and noted its music as "classic jazz crooning dirtied with her other influences – Ben Folds Five, Stevie Wonder and Miss Dynamite". New York Daily News writer Jim Farber commended Winehouse's "brutal honesty" and wrote that it "shows none of the stumble of an artist's baby steps... a remarkably assured debut".
The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number sixty before climbing to number thirteen in January 2004. It has since been certified double platinum for shipments in excess of 600,000 copies. During the chart run of Winehouse's second album, 2006's Back to Black, Frank re-entered the UK Albums Chart at number twenty-two in February 2007, as well as at number forty on two separate occasions in May 2007, becoming a mainstay of the UK chart throughout 2007. As of November 2007 it had sold a total of 495,891 copies in the UK. As of mid-March 2008, it had sold 675,000 copies in the UK, and had sold 362,700 since February 2007, making it the thirty-seventh best-selling album for 2007, despite its original release four years earlier. It sold a further 228,000 copies in 2008, five years after its release. The album sold approximately 22,000 copies in its first week of release in the United States. Following the 2008 Grammy Awards, the album re-entered the Billboard 200 chart and climbed to number sixty-seven. It has sold a total of 307,000 copies in the United States Frank re-entered the US chart and reached a new peak position of number thirty-three, following Winehouse's death on 23 July 2011. The album also re-entered the UK chart at number five on 31 July 2011. It then rose two positions to number three the following week on 7 August, becoming the album's highest-charting position in the UK.

Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011) was an English singer-songwriter known for her powerful deep contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres including R&B, soul and jazz. Winehouse's 2003 debut album, Frank, was critically successful in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 follow-up album, Back to Black, led to six Grammy Award nominations and five wins, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night, and made Winehouse the first British female to win five Grammys,including three of the "Big Four": Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. She won the Ivor Novello Award three times, one in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song (musically and lyrically) for "Stronger Than Me", one in 2007 for Best Contemporary Song for "Rehab", and one in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for "Love Is a Losing Game", among other distinctions. The album was the third biggest seller of the 2000s in the United Kingdom. Winehouse is credited as an influence in the rise in popularity of female musicians and soul music, and also for revitalising British music. Winehouse's distinctive style made her a muse for fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld.
Winehouse's problems with drug and alcohol abuse, violence, and her self-destructive behaviours were regular tabloid news from 2007 until her death. She and her former husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were plagued by legal troubles that left him serving prison time. In 2008, Winehouse faced a series of health complications that threatened both her career and her life.
Winehouse was found dead on 23 July 2011, at her home in London;police have said that the cause of her death is "as yet unexplained". However, an inquest regarding Winehouse's death has been opened and delayed (adjourned) until October 26, 2011, per a London coroner. Coroner Sharon Duff from North London's St. Pancras Coroner's Court stated that a "Section 20" postmortem had been done on Winehouse. Section 20 postmortems imply that the coroner believes "there is reasonable cause to suspect that a person has died a violent or unnatural death or in any other way which would require an inquest," according to regulations.The coroner's office also stated that police had determined the death to be "non-suspicious".Winehouse's family and friends attended her funeral on 26 July 2011. "Rehab" is a song by Amy Winehouse from her second studio album, Back to Black. Written by Winehouse, it was released as the album's lead single in the United Kingdom on 23 October 2006. The lyrics are autobiographical, describing the protagonist's drinking habits and refusal to enter rehabilitation clinics. It is generally considered as Winehouse's signature song.
The song received widespread critical acclaim and enjoyed commercial success in Winehouse's native United Kingdom and abroad. The tune won the 2007 Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song. "Rehab" won three Grammy Awards in 2008, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Winehouse's subsequent public battle with substance abuse and the song's popularity contributed to its numerous appearances in the mainstream media. "Rehab" was produced by Mark Ronson and released as the album's lead single in October 2006 in the UK and January 2007 elsewhere. The song was written about Winehouse's refusal to attend an alcohol rehabilitation centre after her management team encouraged her to go. "I asked my dad if he thought I needed to go. He said no, but I should give it a try. So I did, for just 15 minutes. I went in said 'hello' and explained that I drink because I am in love and have screwed up the relationship. Then I walked out." Winehouse later changed her management company.
The music video was directed by Phil Griffin and released in September 2006. It features Winehouse's band playing their instruments while she sings to the camera. The band members are dressed in gowns throughout the video. It begins with Winehouse rising from bed and then moving to the bathroom. For the second verse, Winehouse is on a chair in a psychiatrist's office, presumably explaining herself to an unseen psychiatrist. In contrast to the lyrics, the video ends with Winehouse in rehab, sitting on a bed in a white-tiled clinical ward room with her band around her. On 31 May 2007, "Rehab" debuted on Total Request Live and later peaked at number one on 7 June. The music video was also nominated for Video of the Year at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, but lost out to Rihanna's "Umbrella" music video.
The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number ninety-one on the chart dated 31 March 2007 without an official single release. Winehouse's current single at the time, "You Know I'm No Good", entered one spot above, at number ninety, in the same week. After lingering in the bottom portions of the Hot 100 for several months, the song suddenly jumped thirty-eight spots to number ten on the 23 June chart, mainly due to digital sales following Winehouse's live performance of the song on the MTV Movie Awards on 3 June 2007; sales of the official remix featuring rapper Jay-Z also had a small effect on the chart position, peaking in the 70s on the iTunes Top 100 in the United States. After a change of rules in the UK allowing all digital downloads to be counted for the singles chart, "Rehab" re-entered the chart at number twenty for the week ending 13 January 2007, whilst "You Know I'm No Good" occupied the number forty spot as a new entry on downloads alone.
In mainland Europe the song peaked in Norway and Hungary and reached the top twenty in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Finland, attaining a peak position of number twenty-three on the European Hot 100 Singles.
As of March 2008, the single had sold 357,943 copies commercially and on downloads in the UK. Between October 2006 and June 2007, the single spent thirty-four consecutive weeks in the official UK top seventy-five and has re-entered several times since, most recently at number 29 on 31 July 2011 in the wake of Amy's tragic death, giving it a current total of fifty-nine weeks in the top seventy-five, making it the joint 10th longest runner of all time, and seventy-five in the top 100.
It also became her first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine. The Recording Industry Association of America certified "Rehab" gold on 13 December 2007 with sales of over 500,000 copies.
The song, despite an October 2006 release date, was an enduring hit throughout 2007; with UK sales of 131,415 in 2007 alone, it finished the year as the UK's fifth-sixth biggest-selling single. It is Winehouse's longest-running UK chart hit, but her Ronson collaboration "Valerie" has proven to be her biggest seller to date.

Greatest Hits is a greatest hits compilation album released by UK duo Lighthouse Family in 18 November 2002 on Wildcard / Polydor. There are two different versions of this album, one with the two bonus tracks, "Lifted" (Linslee Mix) and "End of the Sky", and one without them. This album reached gold status.
On 7 April 2003, The Very Best of Lighthouse Family was released, containing the same track listing and bonus tracks. The difference is that one can download an additional seven acoustic tracks from a website. This album reached platinum status.

Rolling Stone magazine ranked her atop its list of The Greatest Singers of All Time as well as the ninth greatest artist of all time. She has won 18 competitive Grammys and two honorary Grammys. She has 20 No.1 singles on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart and two No.1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "Respect" (1967) and "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)" (1987), a duet with George Michael. Soul UK is the seventh studio album by English singer-songwriter Beverley Knight. The album was released on 4 July, 2011, and features covers of British soul songs that inspired Knight whilst growing up. The album also includes a live DVD of the tracks, filmed on April 7 at the Porchester Hall in London.
In the press release for Soul UK, Knight explained her choice to make and release an album of cover versions. She stated "I gave a lot of thought to choosing the songs I wanted to interpret for this album and it was great fun putting my own flavour and twist on tracks by some of the fantastic UK artists who preceded me and inspired me. A lot these artists opened doors for both myself and many others, and many of them are still going strong – so the album is, in part, a thank you to them. The UK is a world-beating producer of musical talent and this genre can sometimes feel overlooked and underplayed. I hope with this album that people can enjoy these songs all over again and in some cases discover them for the first time."
On her official site, Knight gave a track-by-track rundown of the album, explaining the inspiration behind recording each track that features. She introduced it by explaining, "Welcome to Soul UK, my celebration of some of the home grown artists and soulful tracks that have inspired me. Some of these artists have had enormously successful careers, others have had glimpses of success, and others have never really been given due attention and respect. All these songs, artists and writers have in various ways contributed to my own career in music, and deserve to be recognised for cutting a path that enabled me and every other British Soul/Urban act without exception to walk more easily. This is why I have made this album, it is a labour of love, and my tribute to heroes both celebrated and unsung."
The album features production from Grammy Award-winning producer Martin Terefe, who has worked with James Morrison and Jason Mraz, along with London production duo, Future Cut who have worked with both Lily Allen and Beyoncé.

Mazzolini was born in Beirut, Lebanon, the son of an Italian diplomat and an American singer. Reportedly, he learned to play the guitar aged 10 to impress a German girl in his class.
As a rather cosmopolitan teenager Mazzolini began a career in a variety of jazz, rock and punk bands before meeting Rome based producer Paul Micioni. The first release, Masterpiece, was a minor hit in 1982.
His footnote in charts history is his 1983 release "I like Chopin", popular opinion notwithstanding, the piano motif herein is not a Chopin composition. The release sold 8 millions copies worldwide and reached #1 of Italian charts along with 15 other countries.
The follow-up song "Lunatic" and the eponymous album also entered the Top 20 across Europe.
Gazebo put up his own record label, Softworks, in 1997.
Since then Mazzolini has released more albums, not counting the occasional hit compilation with all his best track called Portrait & Viewpoint. In autumn 2006 he released a new single called "Tears for Galileo", which achieved constant radio airplay on Italian RAI Radio2 and peaked at #1 in the Euro dance chart.
In 2008 The Syndrone an album including "Tears For Galileo", "Virtual Love" and "Ladies!" A milestone project in which talents like Jerry Marotta and John Giblin were involved.
On May 24, 2011 his new single "Queen Of Burlesque" is out on iTunes.

Aphrodite is the eleventh studio album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue. It was her first studio album in the three years following her 2007 release X. Aphrodite was released worldwide in July 2010, and was preceded by the release of the lead single, "All the Lovers". The three (out of four) singles released from the album have all topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, giving Minogue a total of six number one songs on the chart. Minogue has also made history on the chart, becoming the first act to claim two of the top three ranks in the tally's nearly 35-year history with "Better Than Today" and "Higher" with Taio Cruz.
Aphrodite has received mostly positive reviews from music critics upon its release, being frequently compared to Minogue's previous albums such as Light Years (2000) and Fever (2001). The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, just as her debut album, Kylie, had done in the same week, 22 years previously. It was her fifth album to reach number one in the United Kingdom. This made Minogue the first, and the only, female recording artist in UK chart history to have a number one album in four consecutive decades, achieving this in the 1980s, 90s, 00s and 10s.

"All I See" is a pop–R&B song performed by Australian singer Kylie Minogue for her tenth studio album, X (2007). The song was written by Jonas Jeberg, Mich Hedin Hansen, Edwin "Lil' Eddie" Serrano and produced by Jeberg and Cutfather. It was released digitally as a lead single in North America on 11 March 2008. The song was released to American radio formats on 15 April 2008. A version featuring rapper Mims was released to radio formats and included as a bonus track on the American edition of X. The song contains an interpolation taken from "Outstanding", written by Raymond Calhoun and performed by The Gap Band.
To promote the single and the album in the United States, Minogue appeared on several television programmes. On 31 March 2008, she appeared on the Today show for an interview with Matt Lauer. On 1 April, Minogue performed "All I See" live on Dancing with the Stars. On 7 April 2008, Minogue appeared and performed "All I See" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The single was particularly released in the US and in Canada to boost Minogue's image in the States, as it appeared she had a low profile, but the song peaked at number 3 in the US dance charts.
The promotional music video for "All I See" was directed by William Baker, Minogue's creative director. It was filmed in three hours while Minogue was on break from KylieX2008 tour rehearsals. Filmed in black-and-white, it features Minogue and dancer Marco da Silva dancing in front of a white background. The video was recorded using a mobile phone. The video premiered on Minogue's website on 18 April 2008

"The One" is a song by Australian pop singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue from her tenth studio album, X (2007). Written by Minogue, Richard Stannard, James Wiltshire, Russell Small, John Andersson, Johan Emmoth and Emma Holmgren, the song was released as the album's fourth and final official single. "The One" was released as a digital-only single: it charted at number 10 on the Australian Dance Chart and number 36 in the UK. It was also released in New Zealand on 22 September 2008, and peaked at number 2.
"The One" was originally performed by dance music group Laid and Emma Holmgren. Their version, titled "I'm the One", was included on the dance compilation Mastercuts: Funky House in 2006. Minogue's version, however, features new verses.
"The One" charted at number thirty-six in the United Kingdom based on digital sales after the physical release was cancelled. Although it was not released in the United States, the song was chosen as one of the ten best pop songs of 2008 by the San Francisco Chronicle.
The song was released in Australia on 20 October 2008. It didn't manage to peak in the ARIA Charts.
It had been released in the United Kingdom on 28 July 2008. It had entered The Official Charts Company at number 36 on 9 August 2008, but fell out on the 23 that month.
It was released in New Zealand on 22 September 2008. It didn't manage to chart on the RIANZ charts, but charted on New Zealand Airplay charts at number 2. It is Kylie's most successful single since her 2002 single "Cant Get You Out Of My Head" which charted at number 1.
It wasn't very successful worldwide, peaking at number 26 in Hungary, number 38 in Czech Republic, 7 and 15 in Belgium, although in Slovakia became very successful peaking at number 6 and staying for 25 weeks on the chart, in Bulgaria became successful too, peaking at number 10 and staying in the charts for 13 weeks.
After weeks of speculation (and following the announcement that the physical release had been cancelled), it was confirmed on Minogue's official website that a music video for "The One" had been filmed. The video premiered on the website in August 2008 and uses the Freemasons' edit of the song. It starts off with a male dancer (Jason Beitel) and a female dancer swirling around whilst a kaleidoscopic effect of lights is in the background, often as produced by a spirograph. Her first look is a long and straight blond hair. Minogue then appears dressed in a glamorous 1920s-looking outfit and her hair is tightly curled, featuring the spiral visual motif. Throughout the video we see a continuation of the kaleidoscope effect and Minogue dressed in a long white silk dress, a black tightly cut dress and towards the end the singer is seen with Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses with a short haircut singing the last few lines of the song.
The song itself was not scheduled to be released in Latin America, however the video was delivered to music channels VH1 and MTV Brasil for promotion.

"Wow" was first released on 16 February 2008 in Australia and New Zealand, and then in the UK two days after. The song was released worldwide as the second single from the album. The song was successful in most countries peaking in the top twenty countries like United Kingdom, Australia, France, New Zealand, United States and Denmark. It peaked at number 5 in the UK Singles Chart, 11 on the ARIA Singles Chart and 16 on the RIANZ Singles Chart.
"Wow" received favorable to mixed reviews from contemporary music critics, most of them complimenting it as "fantasitc", but some reviews said that it doesn't have the "oomph factor to make us fall for fall her like we have in the past". The accompaning music video was followed up, directed by Melina Matsoukas, which featured Minogue in a futuristic outfit, in a club, dancing with alien-inspired outfits worn by the public. The video has received positive reviews, mostly about the futuristic style of format the video had featured. Two version of the video was released, though.
"Wow" received favorable to mixed reviews from pop music critics. Alex Fletcher of Digital Spy wrote that the song's "disco swirls and whooshing synths are great fun", but said that "Wow" "doesn't have the 'oomph' factor to make us fall for her like we have in the past". In a review for The Guardian, Alexis Petridis called the song "fantastic" and compared it to Minogue's songs with Stock, Aitken and Waterman. Pitchfork Media reviewer Tom Ewing wrote that the song's "excitement is infectious" even though its "funked-up electro sexiness may feel contrived".
The song was first performed live on The Kylie Show in November 2007, a one off showcase of new tracks from her 2007 album X. The performance had Kylie in pigtails and foil streamer dress on a circular stage with dancers in new wave costumes and wigs, who would walk up an down a catwalk throughout the song. The video is available on YouTube.
Additionally, the song was used in the series finale montage of the American TV Show So You Think You Can Dance "Wow" was also used as background music in a few commercials for ABC's Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters in April 2008. Minogue also performed the single "All I See" live on the show earlier in the year while promoting X in North America.
Two versions of the music video was released. The music video for "Wow" was directed by Melina Matsoukas and filmed in Los Angeles, California along with the video for "In My Arms" in early January 2008. The video features Minogue in dancing in a futuristic nightclub surrounded by dancers in alien outfits. The video begins with Minogue's silhouette dancing against a lighted background. PerezHilton.com hosted the world premiere the music video on 29 January 2008. It was scheduled to premiere on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom on 30 January 2008, but was postponed. Media regulator Ofcom removed the video after they found it did not follow viewer guidelines due to the use of strobe lighting. The video was re-edited and broadcasted in the United Kingdom the following week. In the video appears Dani Artaud (also known as DaniGORE), from the band Millionaires, as an extra.
The video is Kylie's 2nd highest viewed on YouTube, with views of 36,238,185 as of 24 August 2009.
On 15 December 2007, Minogue performed "Wow" on the fourth season finale of The X Factor. Following the performance, "Wow" debuted on the UK Singles Chart at number thirty-two on 24 December 2007, based solely on digital download sales. Ten weeks later, the song reached number five. In February 2008, the song topped the UK Upfront Club Chart. This eventually became Kylie's best selling single in the UK since 2002's "Love at First Sight" selling over 180,000 copies.
In Australia, "Wow" was officially solicited to radio on 14 January 2008. The song debuted at number eleven, and remained on the singles chart for six weeks.
The song was set to be the leading single for the United States, but this was ultimately withdrawn and changed for the song "All I See" which had a more R&B feel to appeal the American audience. The song was released to American dance radio-stations and became a moderate success when it debuted within the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, eventually peaking at number nineteen.
In the Romanian Singles Chart, the song debuted at number 63 in February , finally peaking at number 42 in June, becoming her first song ever to miss the top 20.
In New Zealand, the song debuted at number 17 on 24 February 2008. Following radio airplay, it later rose to number 16 on 9 March 2008.

"In My Arms" reached number eight in Greece and Germany—where it became Minogue's first top ten single since 2003's "Slow"—, as well as number ten in France on the physical chart and number two on the downloads chart, becoming her biggest hit in France since 2001's "Can't Get You Out of My Head". Elsewhere, the song reached the top five in the Czech Republic and Turkey, the top ten in Slovakia and Switzerland, and the top twenty in Austria, Ireland, the Netherlands and Sweden. The single entered the UK Singles Chart at number sixty-nine on downloads alone, peaking at number ten three weeks later. In Australia, "In My Arms" became Minogue's lowest-charting single in a decade (since 1998's "Cowboy Style"), peaking at number thirty-five and spending only two weeks in the top fifty. In the United States, though the song was not released officially, it received moderate airplay, charting on the American radio airplay chart in the first day of the plays at American radio.

The music video for "In My Arms" was directed by Melina Matsoukas and filmed in Los Angeles, California, along with the video for "Wow".[13] There are five main sequences: the first features Minogue dressed in a crimson and white-chequered outfit, designed by Gareth Pugh (a piece worn by Irish singer Róisín Murphy in her "Overpowered" video the previous year), with futuristic sunglasses; the second has Minogue singing into a microphone, on a blue recording room; the third scene is with a troupe of dancers; the fourth features Minogue in a yellow dress dancing in a pink box; and in the final scene she dances in front of a giant fan wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress. As the video concludes, the five scenes are intercut and gradually fade.
The video premiered on the Internet on 29 January 2008. It premiered on television stations across Europe on 31 January 2008.

"Chocolate" is a slow pop–dance song written by British songwriters Karen Poole and Johnny Douglas for Kylie Minogue's ninth studio album Body Language (2003). It also was produced by Douglas and received a mixed reception from music critics. The song was released as the album's third single in the summer of 2004 (see 2004 in music) and reached number-one in the Ukraine and Chile, and the top ten in Hungary, Romania, Russia, and the United Kingdom, where it became Minogue's twenty-seventh top ten single.
An early version of "Chocolate" included a rap by Ludacris but wasn't used on the final mix. A one-minute clip was leaked in July 2006 onto the Internet.
"Chocolate" featured a music video that was directed by Dawn Shadforth and was filmed on 6 and 7 June 2004 in London, England, with rehearsals six days before filming began. The video features the song's single edit and Minogue performing several jazz dance numbers in a studio-theater with back-up dancers. The video is a tribute to the MGM musicals of the 1940s, and saw Minogue reunite with choreographer Michael Rooney whom she had previously worked with on the video for her hit single "Can't Get You Out of My Head" (2001).
The video was a minor hit on music channels. Although it could not match the success of its predecessors the video was a top twenty hit in the UK, reaching number eleven on the TV airplay chart and number thirteen on MTV's Europe Top 20 countdown.
The version of the song used in the music video (as also heard on radio) was re-recorded to be shorter than the actual album track. This included an altered instrumental with newer vocals to echo a more Pop sound in retrospect to the album's more R&B vibe.

The music video for "Red Blooded Woman" was directed by Jake Nava, who has directed videos for Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Kelis, Shakira and the Spice Girls. It was filmed in Los Angeles in 2003. The video features Minogue on a freeway in a traffic jam. She leaves her car and walks around the freeway. Minogue enters to another car and changes her clothes inside it. Wearing now a red top and skirt, Minogue leaves the car and continues walking around the freeway when the night comes. She later dances in front of a truck. Throughout the video, there are scenes of Minogue in a car and performing on a stage with her dancers.

The song became Minogue's seventh number-one single when it debuted at the top spot on the singles chart, and spent a total of ten weeks in the top seventy-five. However, even though "Slow" became a number one in the UK, it only sold 43,000 copies, her lowest-selling number-one single in the UK and to date is one of the lowest-selling number-one singles in UK chart history second only to George Michael's "Faith". Outside of the UK, the song was also successful. It debuted at number one in Australia and became Minogue's ninth number one on the ARIA Singles Chart. In addition, "Slow" was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association for shipments of over 70,000 copies. The single's music video, directed by Baillie Walsh, was shot over a three-day period in the Spanish city of Barcelona, at the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc. The first two days of shooting were postponed due to heavy rain, but the video was completed by the end of the third day. The video opens with a man diving into a swimming pool from a diving board from where the skyscrapers of Barcelona can be clearly seen. After the man gets out the pool, the rest of the video focuses on Minogue, who is amongst a crowded poolside of swimwear-clad men and women. There are various side-views and bird's-eye views of Minogue as she sings the song.

"Come Into My World" was the fourth and final single from Kylie Minogue's 2001 album, Fever, released in 2002. It won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
The accompanying video features Kylie strolling around a city block within the Boulogne-Billancourt suburb of Paris, France. Each time she completes a circuit of the area, a new Kylie emerges from one of the stores (which is in fact the 'old' Minogue, that did the circuit the first time around), and each of the people in the background are also duplicated in slightly different positions. By the time the video concludes there are four unpertubed Minogues amidst an extremely chaotic scene with each background extra also depicted four times. The video ends as a fifth Minogue emerges.
The video was directed by French director Michel Gondry and updated a concept that he had used in Neneh Cherry's "Feel It" music video. The video also bears similarities to a past video, "Did It Again", where there were four Minogues.
The video was shot on 8 September 2002 at the intersection of Rue du Point du Jour and Rue de Solférino, in Boulogne-Billancourt, Paris. Fifty extras were on hand, including Russian actor Sacha Bourdo. It took over fifteen takes to create the desired effect. Fifteen days were required for the video's special effects. The video was released in Paris on 21 October 2002.
Slant Magazine placed the video for "Come Into My World" at #1 on their "Best of the Aughts: Music Videos" list.[1] The reviewer compared the video to Zbigniew Rybczyński's short animated film, Tango.
Pitchfork Media placed it at #14 on their list "The Top 50 Music Videos of the 2000s".Scott Plagenhoef said of the video: "Arguably the most re-watchable video of the decade, Michel Gondry pulls out the "Star Guitar" multiplication trick and applies it to Kylie and the streets of Paris."
Complex placed it at #79 on their list "Top 100 Music Videos of the 2000s".
In November 2002, the single debuted and peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart and number four on the Australian ARIA Chart. The song has been certified Gold in Australia.
In early 2003, the song reached number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 20 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. The song also charted in the Top in many other countries including South Africa, Slovenia, Israel, Singapore, Romania, Russia and it hit number-one also in Colombia.

Due to favorable reception, "Love at First Sight" was released in the United States with a different arrangement mixed by duo Ruff & Jam. Minogue had previously found success on the Billboard Hot 100 with "The Loco-Motion" in 1988 (#3) and "Can't Get You Out of My Head" in 2001 (#7). "Love at First Sight" became her second consecutive release to reach the Top 40 on the Billboard charts, reaching #23. The music video was directed by Johan Renck. It featured Minogue in front of a green screen choreographing and dancing with her singing to the song, with visual effects happening to the video. "In Your Eyes" featured a music video that was directed by Dawn Shadforth. The video features Minogue in a studio filled with colourful neon lights. There are two sequences; the first features Minogue and a group of dancers in front of a colourful background, the second is simply Minogue spinning before a background of flashing lights. Throughout the video, the two scenes are intercut and gradually fade.
The video featured an extension of the futuristic theme first introduced in the music video for "Can't Get You out of My Head" the previous year. Minogue and her artistic director William Baker had become interested in the street interpretation of robotic, jerky movements and included this is the video. The costumes also represent this interest and were described by Baker as being a mix of "hip hop chic with sci-fi lunacy".
Released to music video channels prior to the single's commercial release, the video was a hit, charting at number one on MTV's Hit List UK and at number four on MTV Europe's top twenty countdown.The video was first released commercially as a DVD single in Australia in 2002, but was also included on the Ultimate Kylie companion DVD, released in December 2004.
"In Your Eyes" was released on 18 February 2002. It was originally scheduled for release in January, but was delayed because of the airplay popularity of "Can't Get You Out of My Head".It debuted at number three on the UK singles chart, becoming her twenty-second top ten single. The song remained on the chart for seventeen weeks, 3 of which were in the top twenty. It was also an airplay hit in the UK, where it reached number one. The song also peaked at number seven on the Club Chart.
The single became a hit elsewhere in Europe, reaching the top five in Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia. "In Your Eyes" was released Canada (where it peaked at number eleven) and Mexico, but not in the United States, where "Can't Get You Out of My Head" had just been released.
In Australia, "In Your Eyes" was released as scheduled on 21 January 2002. The song was certified gold prior to its release on pre-sales only. It debuted at number one on the ARIA singles chart and became the fourth single by Minogue to reached the top position since 2000. It peaked at number 18 on Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ), and stayed on the charts for 18 weeks.

It received chart success in Australia, as it became Minogue's first number-one single there since "Confide In Me" (1994). It later won Minogue the award for theBest Pop Release at the Fourteenth ARIA Music Awards, and was also certified Platinum by Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). The song topped the UK Singles Chart, her first there since "Tears on My Pillow" ten years earlier, and was certified Silver by British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The song also gave Minogue the honor of being one of three artists (the others being Madonna and U2) to have a number-one single in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. "Spinning Around" also made the top forty in eight more countries.
The accompanying music video for "Spinning Around", directed by Dawn Shadforth, showed Minogue in hot pants, dancing in a club. Recognized as one of Minogue's most iconic videos to date,[citation needed] it received rotation on many music video channels. Minogue performed the song on her "On a Night Like This Tour" (2001) and has since performed it on all her headlining tours, to date. Apart from the concert tour performances, she performed the song on the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Paralympics, and the television specials An Audience with..., and later on her promotional concert "Money Can't Buy" (2003).
"Spinning Around" is a moderately paced dance-pop song with disco influences. According to the sheet music for the song published at Musicnotes.com by Bug Music, the song is written in the key of F♯-minor. The beat is set in common time, and moves at a tempo of 120 beats per minute. The song has the sequence of F♯7sus–Dmaj7–E/B as its chord progression, and Minogue's vocals in the song spans from the note of F♯3 to the note of C♯5. Bryony Sutherland and Lucy Ellis, the authors of the book Kylie: Showgirl, noted that the song is an unashamed piece of sparkling "disco-pop". Larry Flick of Billboard noted that the song ended a brief "modern-rock flirtation" and revisits the dance-pop sound of her '80s heyday.
According to Chris True of allmusic, "Spinning Around" is a fun and string-laden declaration that she may have made a mistake back in 1997. Pam Avoledo of Blogcritics noted that the song begins with lush keyboards. In the chorus, Minogue sings she says that she's demanding attention, while in the bridge, she repeats that people can't help but like her now.The phrase "you like it like this" is also funkified by a vocoder. After the chorus, Minogue adlibs the part of the chorus — "Oh, I'm not the same / You like it like this / Ooh-oh."

"Did It Again", originally titled "Clever Girl (Did It Again)", is the second single released from singer Kylie Minogue's 1997 album Impossible Princess. The single was a success in Australia peaking at #15 and being certified Gold. In the UK the single peaked at #14.
The song was written by Minogue with Steve Anderson and David Seaman at a time when she was trying to develop as an artist. In 1995, her duet with Nick Cave "Where the Wild Roses Grow" had become a hit and the duo had enjoyed considerable pop and critical success including four ARIA Awards. She performed the song live with him at several rock festivals.
The video for "Did It Again" was released in late 1997. It was directed by Pedro Romanhi, and features 4 different Kylies ("Indie Kylie", "Cute Kylie", "Dance Kylie" and "Sex Kylie") fighting other each other in a catfight. The media speculated that Minogue was trying to become "Indie Kylie".

"Where the Wild Roses Grow" is an alternative-rock song written by Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' ninth album Murder Ballads (1996), with guest vocals by Australian pop-singer Kylie Minogue. The song was produced by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Tony Cohen and Victor Van Vugt and received a positive reception from music critics. The song was released as the album's first single in October 1995 and became the band's most successful single worldwide reaching #3 in Norway, the top five in Australia, and the top twenty in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and New Zealand. It also received a limited promotional release in the United States.
The song was certified Gold in Germany in 1996 for 250,000 copies sold, despite never reaching the top ten in that country. It charted again at the bottom of the German Top 100 in 2008 because of digital downloads after it was used in a soap opera. "Where the Wild Roses Grow" was also certified Gold in Australia for selling 50,000 copies.
Cave was inspired to write "Where the Wild Roses Grow" after listening to the traditional song, "Down in the Willow Garden",[citation needed] a tale of a man courting a woman and killing her while they are out together. Cave arranged this tale as second of two B-sides, "The Ballad of Robert Moore & Betty Coltrane" / "The Willow Garden", released on the CD-Maxi single version.
Although the song does not feature on a Minogue studio album, it can be found on her compilations Hits+, Greatest Hits 1987-1999 and Ultimate Kylie. Minogue performed a chorus of the song during her Showgirl and Homecoming tours.
It reached number 8 in Triple J's Hottest 100 1995.
Minogue, as Elisa Day, is admired, then murdered by Nick Cave's character. The chorus of the song suggests either that she's come to be known as the "Wild Rose" rather than as Elisa Day by people who recall her murder or that her body has never been found, and her ghost lingers at the place of the murder, but people, seeing only the roses, talk about them, when Elisa Day believes they talk to, or about, her (e.g., "They call me the Wild Rose; but my name was Elisa Day; why they call me that, I do not know; for my name was Elisa Day"). Cave's character is entranced by Elisa's beauty and hates the idea of its fading, so he kills her in order to preserve the memory of her beauty forever. He visits her home, and becomes obsessed with her. The next day, he brings her a beautiful red rose, then asks her if she'd like to see where such beauty could come from. On the final day, he takes Elisa to the river, where he gives her a farewell kiss, then kills her with a rock. A small rabbit comes to visit her body. He then places her in the river where the wild roses grow, in the pose of Millais' painting Ophelia. A large python courses over her body, symbolizing her death. He puts a rose in her mouth, and closes her eyes. The video was shot by director Rocky Schenck.

"Where Is the Feeling?" is a song by Kylie Minogue, released as the third and final single from her 1994 album Kylie Minogue. The single was released on 10 July 1995 and was produced by Brothers In Rhythm.
The song, originally a club hit for Within a Dream in 1993, was initially planned as the second single from the album although it nearly didn't make the album's final cut. It was postponed for the release of "Put Yourself in My Place". The single was scheduled for release in April 1995 but delayed until July while Minogue completed filming on the movie Bio-Dome.
"Where Is the Feeling?" was remixed for single release by Brothers in Rhythm. It had a video featuring Minogue writhing in a pool disguised as the ocean and kissing an unnamed lover.
The single mix is widely considered to be Minogue's least commercial single release to date. The arrangement—transposed into a minor key and featuring multiple layers of spoken, whispered, and sung vocals—was perhaps too complex for radio-friendly accessibility. So most radio stations played the more poppy BIR Bish Bosh mix and this version was also performed for single promotion on TV. The BIR Dolphin mix did, however, see some success in club play; over time the arrangement has gained favor among fans for its experimental and sensual sound.
Deconstruction originally planned to accompany the song with two single releases but it was reduced to only one CD due to new chart regulations, thus explaining the cover photo with two superimposed images of Kylie.

In 1998, Australian record company Mushroom Records re-issued the song as part of their 25th Anniversary Celebrations. The re-issue reached #59 on the Australian ARIA Charts in 1998.
